The story of prophet Seth peace and blessings be upon him 

This is the story of our Prophet Seth or sheeth in Arabic Language the son of our father and prophet Adam and our mother Hawa who Allah gave them as a gift after Habil was killed. 

Sheith bin Adam, peace be upon him, is a prophet, who is the third son of Adam after Cain and Abel, but he was not mentioned in the Holy Qur’an, but the prophet Seth mentioned in the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad. He was a bar for his father and his mother ․ It is said that it was a gift from God ․ Some sources indicate that Seth received the first newspapers mentioned in Surat Al -Ala from the Holy Quran﴿ This is in the first newspapers, 18 newspapers, Abraham and Moses 19 ․ It is also mentioned in the Islamic narration that Setha is the wisdom, so he learned the date of the Great Flood, and the way to perform the night prayer. The lineage of humanity is due to Judaism, Christianity and Islam, to Seth, where no children succeeded, and the sons of Kabil were killed in the Great Flood, according to the Islamic narration. The accounts also mention that several Islamic traditional letters belong to Seth, such as manufacture of combs from the horns of animals.


Seth plays a major role in Sufism, and Ibn Al -Arabi stated in the lobes of the ruling that the Shine of Seth is located in the town of Nabi Seth in the mountains of Wadi Al -Bekaa in Lebanon, where there is a mosque in his name, which was described by the geographical Ibn Jubair in the twelfth century. When he died after 912 years, he did the matter after him, his son Yard.

Years Seth was a Prophet

According to Islamic tradition particularly from scholars like Ibn Kathir, Seth was made a prophet after the death of Adam, which was when Seth was around 100 years old.

He is said to have lived for 912 years similar to the figure found in the Bible: Genesis 5:8.

He was a prophet for hundreds of years, possibly up to 800+ years, guiding his people.

What Seth Did

Continued the monotheistic teachings of Adam teaching people to worship one God.

Established rules and moral laws, including instructions for worship, proper behavior, and family laws.

Received divine scriptures: Some Islamic scholars mention that 50 scrolls suhuf were revealed to Seth, though this is not explicitly mentioned in the Qur’an but comes from hadith traditions.

Fought against corruption: It’s believed that during his time, some of the descendants of Adam began to deviate, and he worked to keep them on the right path.

Where Seth Lived

The Prophet Seth is believed to had lived in the mountainous regions, while the descendants of Qabil lived in the plains.

According to Islamic sources especially from early historians like Al-Tabari, he lived in the region of modern-day Iraq or near Mecca in later life.

There is a tradition that Prophet Adam and Hawa were buried in Sri Lanka or Jeddah, and Seth continued the mission from there, although these are not universally agreed upon.

There are several places claimed to have his tomb, including:

Nabi Sheet, in the Beqaa Valley, Lebanon – the most commonly referenced site.

Other side claimed sites exist in Palestine and Iraaq, and Sria Lanka though none are historically verified.
